Chemist -- Gas Chromatography Methods Development Specialist

Job summary

Analytical Methods Development for CALIDUSTM line of ultrafast micro gas chromatographs including applications required by prospects and active customer orders.

Summary of essential job functions

Design, development, application engineering and support for ultrafast micro gas chromatography, including a broad range of laboratory and process applications.

Minimum requirements

BA/BS Chemistry with 5 years experience in laboratory or process analytical instrument design and application. Specific degree less important than having expert operational knowledge of gas chromatographic instrument operation and application. Familiarity with ASTM methods is a plus, especially ASTM D-2887.

Abilities required

The candidate must be a versatile, interdisciplinary professional with the communication skills needed to interact with electronic, mechanical and software engineering design specialists to effectively consolidate developmental subsystems into coherent instruments that meet the product definition. The ability to diagnose and correct electromechanical, software and analytical chemical issues within gas chromatographic applications is obviously a must.
